2002 - Let The Kingdom Advance!

As 2002 rolled in I believe that the roar that was heard across the land was not that of firework displays, but that of The Lion of Judah calling forth His Kingdom.

I honestly believe that in the year 2002 God has great and mighty things in store for us. The Bible teaches that we worship the God of the new thing, the new song, the new name, the new wine, the new heaven, and the new earth. In fact, Revelations 21:5 tells us that He "makes all things new." What better time to make an effort to step into the new things of God than at the beginning of a brand new year? His mercy is new every day! If we stumble, if we falter, even if we fall flat on our faces, He is right there to pick us up and help us start anew. He doesn't offer to us condemnation, or reproach, just a hand reaching down ready to lift us up. It is time that we ignite our hearts with a fresh fire of hope, and release a new determination in our spirits to stand for God. It is time for us to move into the new things because He is calling us into the newness of the Kingdom for this New Year.

Steve and I have talked a lot lately about how strongly we feel that God is moving us spiritually into a new direction this year. Change is not always easy, yet at times to grow spiritually the way God intends for us to, we must change. You just have to reach a point where man's opinion no longer matters for it is completely and totally about God. As this New Year begins, my prayer is this: That I may find complete and total peace in God by submitting to His power, submitting to His peace, and submitting to His joy. For His power will replace fear, His peace will replace frustration, and His joy will replace worry. I no longer want to think with this mind, but I want to put on the mind of Christ that is operating through His spirit in my spirit. I want to allow the spirit of the Lord total control in my life.

I pray that each of you will continue to grow in your relationships with God. May you keep your minds and hearts open to the newness He will call you into this year. May you boldly and confidently do the work He is calling you to do.

Love and Prayers,
Kathy
