SOWING, REAPING AND HARVESTING
You know, we hear a lot of preaching and teaching on television these days concerning the laws of sowing and reaping and harvest. Most of it is coming from preachers who want you to sow into their ministries so that you may reap a great harvest. The Bible is used to point out that if you want to be blessed you must so seed into "their" ministries.
While I definitely do believe in the laws of spiritual sowing and spiritual reaping and even natural sowing and reaping, to do so for selfish reasons negates the whole concept of what God is trying to teach us. It is a lifestyle and not just an occasional attempt to get more blessings from God. It is a lifestyle that must be lived every day. A lifestyle that must be practiced on a regular basis. Only then will it become a reality in our lives of what the true meaning of sowing and reaping is.
Finally, when the laws of sowing and reaping are practiced on a regular basis and becomes a lifestyle, then a harvest will come, the likes of which has never been seen before. A harvest not just of natural means, but a harvest of every nature, spiritual, natural, physical, financial, and a multitude of others. So, today as you read this, don't just get caught up in the emotions of a good service and think you are going to sow and instantly be blessed. Don't let a preacher work you up into a frenzy and/or manipulate you into giving because they make you feel guilty. But rather, practice sowing because God's Word tells you to. Practice it as a lifestyle on a regular basis and watch yourself move into another dimension! Then, get ready because you will reap a harvest that will blow your mind!
