I heard many times from my Grandparents and many others from their generation that they never used locks at night on their house. Their door was always unlocked and there was no fear really that anyone would break into their house. As times progress though crime has grown and we all use locks to protect ourselves from being robbed, killed, and many other things. Here is the question though. Are you using locks to block God out?

As times have grown we have gotten more and more things to do in our everyday activity such as computers, TV, CDs, Movies, Game Systems, and such along with our already activities of school, family, work and friends. Are these things locking down your mind and blocking out the voice of God?

We are so busy with the latest fad, or whatever can consume our time that can we hear God's voice in all the activities of the day. Yes you may have unlocked a door to let Jesus in your life, but like a house there are many other places in your life that you may have a lock on and you are blocking out God and just don't know it. I challenge you to try not to be consumed so much of modern day life that the day goes by so fast and your asleep before even spending anytime with God. Unlock yourself to the voice of God and you will see a change in your life.
