HOW MUCH?

Have you ever asked yourself that question? I mean, really asked it? I'm talking about asking it even if you have no clue what the answer might ever be. I'm talking about asking it when you might even be scared out of your mind to find out what the answer might actually turn out to be. Well, have you?

I know I have. As a matter of fact, I've asked it a lot lately. And let me tell you something, It is a loaded question! It is a question that has a lot of possible attachments that can be added onto to the end of it. And some of them are really painful too. Here, let me give you a few examples of questions that are raging through my mind just tonight alone. Questions like.....

How Much Pain Is Too Much?
How Much Pain Can One Person Bear Alone?
How Much Pain Can A Person Take Before It's Too Much And They Break?
And what about S-T-R-E-S-S? How Much Stress Is Too Much Stress?
How Much Stress Am I Required To Bear Alone Before Help Arrives?
And what about W-A-I-T-I-N-G? How Much Waiting Must I Endure?
How Much Waiting Must A Person Endure Before The Answer Arrives?
How Much Must I Put Up With Before I Am Allowed To Scream "HELP ME JESUS!"?

OR WHAT ABOUT THESE QUESTIONS.....

They aren't specifically "How Much" questions, but they sure are questions that have been weighing heavily on me lately! They go something like this...........

How Many Times Must I Keep Hoping Against Hope That Somehow, Some Way, God Will Speak To Someone To Help Us While We Are Down Like This?
How Many Times Must We Keep Holding On To The Faith That People, Especially Christian People, Will Be There For You?
How Long Do We Keep On Believing That Before We Come To The Realization That Most People Today Just Are Too Busy To Be Bothered By Someone They 'Used' To Know?
Does Anyone Know?
Does Anyone Even Care?

Can you see my dilemma? Once the questions start coming, it's hard to make them stop. Once the floodgates are open, it's hard to shut them back off. So, what do we do as Christians? Do we just shut up and be quiet and bear our burdens and our deep dark valleys all alone in private like good little boys and girls? Or, do we dare ask the questions that others are afraid to ask? Either way, one thing is certain - we need Jesus with us every step of the way regardless of which path we may take!
